Comtat de Berga. A small county in the Berguedà; the pagus of Berga was detached from Osona and annexed to Cerdanya (990/1002). It was held by the Cerdanya-Besalú comital family (the Abbot Oliba was briefly count, 988–1002). On the death of the last count Bernard William (Bernard II) without heirs in 1117, Berga passed to the County of Barcelona together with Cerdanya.
